At the recently held 2014 Indian Auto Expo Fiat India announced to launch 4 new products this year. The Italian carmaker has already launched the Linea facelift and is all set to introduce the Avventura crossover, Abarth 500 and Punto facelift. It is expected that the new 2014 Punto facelift will make its debut the mid-2014.

A member of Team Fiat India Mr. Shashank Nathani has managed to click the facelifted Punto during its test rounds on the Indian streets, giving us some important information about the model. The spy images show that the facelifted Punto looks sportier and gets some adorable upgrades. It gets some styling cues from the Avventura as features like airdam & creases on the bonnet are directly lifted from the crossover sibling. The spotted model was covered, but it shows that the hatchback gets smoked headlamps. At the rear, the updated Punto gets tail lamps with LED treatment and rear fog lamps. Adding to it, the vehicle sports a new 14-spoke alloy wheels, while the ORVMs feature turn indicators.

Inside the cabin, the vehicle is expected to go more premium. The vehicle gets the beige and black interior, while iit comes loaded with several comfort and safety features. The top spec model will sport dual airbags, ABS with EBD, Automatic climate control, power steering with audio controls mounted on it, leather seats and many more.

Mechanically, the Punto facelift is expected to remain unchanged- two petrol engines and 1 diesel mill. While the oil burner is packed with tried and tested 1.3-litre Multi-jet engine, the petrol model gets a 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre engines.
