What if customers could pick the best of two models and put it together to get a more appealing and powerful version. Well, that seems like a far-fetched dream, but AYAS Customs, a motorcycle customizing firm has tried its hands at something similar.
In attempt to combine Renegade’s rugged looks and Toyota Fortuner’s power-packed performance, AYAS has rolled-out a customized add-on kit for Fortuner that transmutes it into a Jeep Renegade. This add-on pack starts from Rs 1.35 lakh and includes a host of new features.
The customized Fortuner comes with a lavish airline cabin with multiple connectivity options. The exterior mirrors Renegade in terms of styling with similar looking massive grille with multiple slats positioned vertically.
In addition, it also gets round-shaped headlamps,an indicator reminiscent of Renegade and LED daytime running light strips enclosed in a black plastic panel. Another addition to the front is large bumper with silver garnish and re-designed fog lamps. Additionally, it also comes with high-intensity lamps on the roof. Sporting a revamped front profile, heavily inspired by Renegade, the customised Fortuner retains most of the styling on the rear side. Changes are extended to the cabin with first-class airline seats mounted on the rear side. Use of wooden trim inside works well for the styling.
While additional connectivity features such as a touchscreen infotainment screen and large LED TV placed in centre make it more desirable. Based on the first-generation Toyota Fortuner, this custom model gets an option between a 2.5-litre D-4D turbo diesel and a 3.0-litre 4-cyl D-4D unit. The 2.5-litre unit makes top power of 141.97bhp at 3,400rpm and 34.98kgm of torque between 1600-2800rpm. On the other hand, the 3.0-litre 4-cylinder, D-4D generates top power of 168.59bhp at 3600rpm and 34.98kgm torque between 1400 to 3400rpm.
