Of all the custom examples of Mahindra Thar, this one is by far the craziest. A desi rendition of the globally renowned ‘Hummer’, this custom Thar gets additional muscles and other bits that bring in on par with the bulky Hummer. As you can see in the image, the exterior profile has been redone completely. Up front, is the wide grille with vertical slats, which has been shaped in typical Hummer style. Besides, the face gets projector headlamp units, robust flared fenders and plastic skid plates on the front & rear bumpers. The list of changes on this desi Hummer also includes faux air intake on the bonnet, sideboards, LED taillamps etc. On the side, it features larger ORVMs and 21inch Maxxix Bighorn tyres that come wrapped around the GT alloy wheels. Changes on the inside are radical, that said the cabin has been completely transformed. A look at the dashboard reminds of the Toyota Etios and there is a customized steering wheel. Furthermore, it gets a touchscreen audio system and a roof mounted LED TV. While other bits like aluminium pedals, faux PVC upholstery and headliner with huge bring in a sense of style to this otherwise suave interior. Power is most likely derived from the same oil burner that is used in the regular model. The engine in question here is the 2.5-litre CRDe diesel unit with maximum power of 105bhp at 3800rpm and 247Nm of torque between 1800 to 2000rpm.
