Have A Look At India’s First Custom Jeep Compass

Modified Jeep Compass by kitup

With minimal changes on the outside, the modified Jeep Compass looks largely identical to the regular car

Jeep India recently launched its first locally built model, Compass at an astonishing price of Rs 14.95 lakh (ex-showroom price) and while the SUV opened to a good start, the Coimbatore based modifier, KitUp has come up with a custom model. With minimal changes made to Compass, it is hard to identify the new elements added to the exterior. That said, changes are primarily restricted to the colour scheme of the SUV. The stock Compass is available in dual tone colour scheme with most of the parts coloured in black. To bring a uniformity, KitUp has painted the black body parts to match the body colour. Even the plastic cladding all around the SUV has been coloured in tandem with the body. The roof has been painted black, which is only available in the top-spec Limited (O) variant in the Compass carline. The rims have been painted in titanium shade and it also features red accents for a visually enhanced look. Also Read – Jeep Compass – All You Need To Know

One of the prominent additions made to this mod Compass is the LED units used in the headlamps and fog lamps, which is missing in the regular model. At rear, it comes with a SRT badge. Changes to the interior include a new audio system on request of the customer, details on which are obscure.

Knowing that delivery for the petrol Compass will begin at a later stage, this modified example seems to be powered by the 2.0-litre, oil burner with 170bhp of maximum power and 350Nm of torque. The diesel unit comes paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox along with an optional AWD drivetrain. On the other hand, the petrol variant will use the 1.4L turbo unit with top power of 160bhp against 250Nm torque. One must note that petrol Compass will miss out on the AWD system.
