Morris Garages is ready to challenge the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos in India with the MG ZS Petrol SUV that’s slated to hit roads near around 2021 festive season. Ahead of its official arrival, we have seen the model in multiple spy pictures revealing interesting design details. The latest set of spy images shows the all-back interior of the SUV featuring a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leatherette seats and a semi digital instrument cluster.
You can notice the dashboard layout is slightly different from its electric counterpart. It has soft touch material along with the light shade inserts around AC vents and door pads. The list of features will also include a power adjustable driver’s seat, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, air purifier, connected car features, 6-speakers audio system, steering mounted audio and phone controls, front and rear USB ports, push button start/stop with keyless entry and more. Rumour has it that the ZS petrol might be offered by ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) as we have seen in the Gloster.
On the safety front, the 2021 MG ZS petrol will offer 6 airbags, hill start assist and descent control, ABS, EBD, electronic stability control, brake assist, electronic parking brake, rear parking camera and sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear seatbelt reminder and Isofix child seat mounts. The overall silhouette and design elements of the upcoming 2021 MG ZS petrol will be similar to the ZS EV. Under the hood, the upcoming 2021 MG ZS petrol will feature 1.3L turbo and 1.5L VTi naturally aspirated making power worth 161bhp with 230Nm and 120bhp with 150Nm respectively. Both motors will be available with manual and automatic gearbox options. There will no diesel engine on offer.
