MG ZS EV Bookings Will Begin From 21st December
Official bookings of the upcoming MG ZS EV electric SUV will be commenced from 21st December, 2019. Buyers will be able to pre-book the vehicle by paying a sum of Rs 50,000. Prices will be revealed in January 2020.
In India, the MG ZS EV will be imported as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) route and assembled at the company’s Halol based plant in Gujarat. It’s estimated to be priced around Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be gun up straight against the Hyundai Kona.
The powertrain system of the MG ZS EV comprises of a 44.5kWh battery pack and a 143hp/353Nm electric motor. The electric SUV returns an ARAI-certified range of 340km on a single charge. Its battery can be fully charged in 7 hours with a standard 7.4kW charger and up to 80% in 40 minutes with a 50kW DC charger. Read – Affordable MG Electric Car Under Development
The company will also provide a road side charging assistance as well. The MG ZS EV’s battery system is IP67 certified that means it’s resistant to water and dust. Claimed to be tested for over 1 lakh kilometers, the electric SUV can do 0 to 100kmph in just 8 seconds. It will also come with OTA (over-the-air) technology.
Some of its key features include a wide chrome stud grille, projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, black cabin finish, silver inserts on the dash, door pads and circular air-con vents, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, a rear-view camera, USB mobile charging at the front and rear, bluetooth connectivity, a sunroof covering 90% of the roof, I Smart EV 2.0 connected car technology and a PM 2.5 air filter.
