MG Hector Waiting Period Goes Up To 7 Months

MG Hector SUV is certainly one of the important launches of the year, which has also marked India entry of the British carmaker. The company has already received over 12,000 bookings for the vehicle and now has the pressure to meet the increasing market demand. The waiting period for the MG Hector at present is up to 7 months depending on the variants, colour and city.

The petrol automatic models are higher in demand compared to other variants. In Nodia, the SUV commands a waiting period up to 7 months (4.5 months for petrol and diesel variants). In cities like Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai, the waiting period stands up to 6 months. Engine options available on the MG Hector include a 1.5L petrol, a 2.0L diesel and a hybrid unit. The gasoline motor delivers a maximum power of 141bhp with 250Nm of torque, and the oil burner produces 168bhp with 250Nm of torque. The petrol hybrid version comes with a 48V electric battery pack offering torque assistance to engine at lower RPMs and reduces the turbo lag. MG Hector is claimed to be India’s first connected SUV, packed with several segment-first features. The SUV lineup is spread across four trims – Style, Super, Smart and Sharp – priced from Rs 12.18 lakh to Rs 16.88 lakh (all, ex-showroom Delhi). The company is also offering a range of accessories and a 5 year/unlimited kilometer warranty and roadside assistance with the Hector.
