The MG Hector SUV is expected to be launched in May or June 2019
The long-awaited MG Hector SUV is all set to hit the Indian market in the next 1-2 months. The company has already released a couple of studio shots and new teaser videos, revealing the styling and interior components. The SUV has been spotted several times on Indian roads. This time, the MG Hector has been spotted without any camouflage in India. The spotted model was equipped with differently styled wheels and exterior details.
One of the models spotted testing is wrapped in a metallic grey shade. The silver treatment can be seen around the grille, bumper, headlamp housing and on the sides. This model is fitted with silver-finished alloys, which suggests that it could be an entry-level model. The other test model was loaded with chrome enhancement around the grille, headlamp and on the sides. This model is expected to be the range-topping model, equipped with dual-tone alloy wheels.
The report claims that the entry-level variants of the MG Hector is also fitted with high-end features like projector headlamps, LED DRLs, roof rails and outside rear view mirrors with integrated blinkers.
The MG Hector will also offer different interior scheme including dual-tone black and beige and an all-black scheme. The leather treatment will be offered on the dashboard and door panels. Apart from the vertically stacked 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, the MG Hector is fitted with three-spoke, flat-bottom multi-functional steering wheel. The start/stop button is positioned on the left of the steering wheel.
MG claims that the Hector will be India’s first Internet Car, which will be equipped with several connectivity features and in-built internet option. The touchscreen infotainment will support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and it will also serve as a display for the 360 degree camera. The MG Hector SUV will be offered with 2 engine options – a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol and a Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel. While the former is good for 141bhp and 250Nm, the oil burner will offer around 173bhp and 350Nm of torque.
