MG Motor India introduced the Hector Plus 6-seater SUV in July, 2020. The model lineup comes in four trims – Style, Super, Smart and Sharp – at an introductory price of Rs 14.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Now, the carmaker has increased its prices by up to Rs 46,000.
After the price hike, the MG Hector Plus petrol comes in the price range of Rs 13.74 lakh – Rs 17.339 lakh. Prices of the diesel variants start from Rs 14.90 lakh and go up to Rs 18.69 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.

The new 6-seater SUV from MG has been made available with four engine-gearbox combinations. There is a 170bhp, 2.0L diesel engine paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 143bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol motor that can be had either with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed DCT automatic gearbox. The Hector Plus is also available with a hybrid powertrain that includes a 1.5L petrol and a 48V mild-hybrid system. It comes with a 6-speed manual transmission. Unlike the Hector 5-seater, the 6-seater model offers a hands-free opening function for the tailgate and connected car technology with a new ‘chitchat’ feature. The entire interior layout and features are exactly similar to its smaller sibling. The SUV gets a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, an analogue instrument cluster with a 7.0-inch MID, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, multi function steering wheel, traction control, ABS, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, six airbags, a 360 degree camera and a tyre pressure monitor.
The MG Hector Plus offers an additional row of seating with individual captain seats in the middle row. Its 7-seater version is likely to come later with bench-style seats in the middle row. Compared to the 5-seater Hector, the Hector Plus is 65mm longer and carries slightly revised front and rear bumpers, new mesh design for grille and updated headlamps. The 6-seater SUV can be had in six different colours.
