MG Hector India Launch On 27th June, 2019
MG Hector will come in four trims – Style, Super, Smart and Sharp.
MG Hector, the premium SUV from the British carmaker, will go on sale in India on 27th June, 2019. Touted as India’s first connected SUV, the Hector will be made available in four trims – Style, Super, Smart and Sharp. Expected to be priced from Rs 15 lakh – Rs 20 lakh, it will face challenge from Jeep Compass, Tata Harrier and Hyundai Tucson.
Official pre-bookings have already been started across the nation. Currently, MG Motor has 120 dealerships across the country. The carmaker aims to expand its sales network to 250 touchpoints by September, 2019.

MG’s first SUV for India will come with three engine options – a 1.5L petrol turbocharged, 1.5L petrol hybrid and 2.0L diesel. The petrol powertrain is good enough for 141bhp and 250Nm of torque. The diesel motor, on the other hand, delivers power worth 168bhp with 350Nm of torque. Mileage figures stand at 14.61kmpl (petrol MT), 13.96kmpl (petrol AT), 15.81kmpl (hybrid) and 17.41kmpl (diesel). Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and DCT automatic.
MG’s connected SUV comes with a new connectivity technology – i-Smart – that offers multiple features including AI (artificial intelligence,), smart applications, smart features, infotainment, voice assist, in-built apps and advanced technology. Features such as automatic headlamps, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, a 360 degree camera with parking sensors, cruise control, 6 airbags and tyre pressure monitoring system are reserved for the top-spec trim.
