Morris Garages started their Indian innings with the Hector SUV in June, 2019. Currently, the British carmaker has four products in its Indian portfolio including Hector, Hector Plus, ZS EV and Gloster. The company registered its highest monthly sales ever in October, 2020. In order to keep up the sales momentum, MG dealers are offering discounts and benefits on the MG cars (except the newly-launched Gloster) for the month of November.
The MG Hector and Hector Plus are being offered with an exchange bonus of up to Rs 25,000. Customers can also avail benefits of the MG Shield scheme that includes a 3 year annual maintenance service packages (Classic, Classic 360, Premium and Premium 360). The MG ZS EV can be had with discount of 40,000 that includes an exchange offer of Rs 25,000 and a 3 year AMC maintenance pack.
The electric SUV has been priced between Rs 20.88 – Rs 23.58 lakh. Powering the ZS EV is a 44.5kWh lithium ion battery and a 3 phase permanent magnet synchronous motor. The latter one delivers 142.76bhp with 353Nm of torque. The MG ZS EV offers an ARAI certified range of 340km on a full charge. One must note that the discounts and benefits on MG cars will vary dealer-wise (depending on the stock) and are restricted to select variants.
As mentioned above, there is no discount and benefit on the MG Gloster 7-seater premium SUV. The model has been sold out for 2020. The carmaker says its India’s first Autonomous Level 1 premium SUV. The model lineup comes in four variants (Super, Smart, Sharp and Savvy) and 6 and 7-seats configurations. The Gloster comes with 2 diesel engines – 163bhp, 2.0L turbo and 218bhp, 2.0L twin-turbo. While the former is available on the Super and Smart variants, the latter is reserved for the Sharp and Savvy trims.
