MG Hector Facelift (2020 Baojun 530) Revealed
SAIC Motor has rolled out the 2020 Baojun 530 (MG Hector facelift) in the Chinese market. For people not in the know, both MG and Baojun auto brands are owned by SAIC Motor Company. In China, the 2020 Baojun 530 facelift (MG Hector facelift) has been made available in the price range of RMB 77,800 (around Rs 7.78 lakh) – RMB 99,800 (Rs 9.99 lakh).
Official bookings of the SUV have already been commenced. In India, the carmaker will bring in the 6 and 7-seater version of the MG Hector early next year. The SUV’s bigger version might debut at the 2020 Auto Expo.
Compared to its predecessor, the 2020 Baojun 530 facelift looks bigger and sportier. Upfront, the SUV features a new grille, longer and slimmer headlamps and updated bumper. Interior has been packed with new connectivity and comfort features. The 2020 Baojun 530 (MG Hector facelift) gets a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting OTA (over-the-air) updates along with navigation and voice commands.
Features such as heated mirrors, digital dials, parking sensors and tyre pressure monitoring system are also on offer. Its overall length, width and height stand at 4695mm, 1835mm and 1750mm respectively. The SUV sits on a 2750mm long wheelbase. Read – MG ZS Electric SUV India Launch Soon
The 2020 Baojun 530 (MG Hector facelift) comes with three seating configurations – 5 (2+3), 6 (2+2+2) and 7 (2+3+2). In 5-seats layout, it offers 979mm of space between the first and second rows along with a boot space of up to 1065-litres.
For power, the 2020 Baojun 530 (MG Hector facelift) makes use of a 1.5L turbocharged engine pushing out a maximum power of 145bhp at 5200rpm and 250Nm of torque between 2200rpm – 3400rpm. The SUV can be had either with a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT gearbox.
