7 Features of MG Gloster Not Available On Toyota Fortuner

The upcoming MG Gloster premium 7-seater SUV will be the fourth offering from the British carmaker in the country. In the premium full-fledged SUV segment, the Gloster will take head-to-head against the cars like Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra Alturas G4 and Ford Endeavour. The model is slated to launch next month (October, 2020) and ahead of its official price unveiling the carmaker has revealed its key features. 1. 64 ambient lighting

While the carmaker hasn’t yet confirmed this feature, it’s reported to offer segment-first 64 colour ambient lighting system. It will not only illuminate controls on the instrument panel and dashboard, but help reduce stress on the eyes as well.

2. iSmart connected car feature with 5G support

3. Automatic parking assist

MG claims that the Gloster will be India’s first autonomous (level 1) SUV featuring automatic park assist technology. The system will enable the vehicle park itself without any driver intervention. It’s likely to be possible via a 360 degree camera.

4. Adaptive cruise control

5. Advanced driving assistance

MG’s new premium 7-seater SUV will offer the advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) including lane departure warning, collision avoidance systems, autonomous emergency braking system and many more.

6. Larger Infotainment System

The Gloster will offer the biggest infotainment system in its segment. The SUV will come with a floating 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that will support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. 7. More power

Compared to the Toyota Fortuner, the MG Gloster will have a more powerful diesel engine to offer. The SUV is likely to come with a 2.0L, 4-cylinder, twin-turbo diesel motor paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. The motor will deliver power around 215bhp and 480Nm of torque.
