MG G10 (Kia Carnival Rival) To Launch By March 2021

MG G10 India Launch

MG G10 premium MPV made its first public appearance in India at this year’s Auto Expo. Speaking to ET Auto, Rajeev Chaba, MD and President, MG Motor India, has revealed that the company will launch a new model by March 2021. While the name and details of the product are yet to be revealed, it’s likely to be the MG G10 MPV. Here, it will be positioned against the newly-launched Kia Carnival that costs between Rs 24.95 lakh – Rs 33.95 lakh (ex-showroom).

Similar to its arch rival, the MG G10 will be offered with three seating layouts – 7/8 and 9-seats. Though, it will be 50mm longer and 173mm taller than the Carnival. The new premium MPV from MG measures 5168mm in length, 1980mm in width and 1928mm in height with a wheelbase of 3210mm.

Interior of the MPV will be packed with advanced comfort goodies including a powered sunroof and a moon roof, multi-zone climate control, a 6-speaker sound system, a large HD touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity and navigation, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, reverse parking sensors and camera and many more. Under the hood, the MG G10 is likely to house a 2.0L twin-turbo diesel engine that will also be used in the upcoming Gloster SUV. Sourced from Fiat, the oil burner pushes out a peak power of 218bhp and a maximum torque of 480Nm. The MPV will come with both manual and automatic gearbox. In global markets, it’s offers with a range of powertrains.
