MG Dhoni Buys an Electric Kia – All You Need To Know

Former India skipper, MS Dhoni is widely known for his love for cars and bikes, which is evident from its massive collection of luxury cars & vintage bikes. The Captain cool has now added the Kia EV6 electric SUV to his collection of cars & motorcycles. In a video going viral on social media, MS Dhoni took Chennai Super Kings players Ruturaj Gaikwad and Kedar Jadhav for a ride in his brand-new Kia EV6 SUV.

Dhoni will be captaining Chennai Super Kings in a 2023 edition of the Indian premiere league, and he would be aiming to win its fifth IPL title. MS Dhoni was seen driving the grey coloured Kia EV6, which is the signature shade of the all-electric crossover globally. It looks brand-new, as the EV has temporary registration numbers. Not just EV6, MS Dhoni has recently added another Yamaha RD350 motorcycle to its collection.

Besides Kia EV6 Electric SUV, MS Dhoni owns multiple luxury cars including the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, Land Rover Freelander 2, Ferrari 599 GTO, Audi Q7, Nissan Jonga, Porsche 911 and Hummer H2. Adding to it, Dhoni has multiple vintage cars in its garage. He recently bought a 1969 Ford Mustang along with the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow.

Kia EV6 – 200 Units Delivered

Launched in 2022, the Kia EV6 has received an overwhelming response from car buyers in our market. Kia has revealed that it has delivered over 200 units of the EV6 in India till date. The number is already twice the initially planned 100 units for the entire year. The company is also planning to further increase the total allocation of EV6 in 2022 and complete most of the pending deliveries within this year.

The Kia EV6 electric crossover is available in two variants – RWD and AWD – priced at Rs 59.95 lakh and Rs 64.95 lakh respectively. The new electric crossover is designed and developed on the brand’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) that will also be used in the future Kia electric car range. It comes fitted with a 77.4kWh lithium-ion battery pack that can be had with either RWD and AWD setup. The single-motor RWD version delivers power around 226bhp and the AWD variant with dual-motor offers 321bhp. The company claims that the new EV6 offers a range of up to 528km (WLTP cycle) in the RWD and 425km in the AWD.
