MG Motor India has announced the prices of the top-spec MG Astor Savvy trim, which comes with an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Priced from Rs 15.78 lakh (ex-showroom), the Savvy joins the MG Astor line-up comprising of Style, Super, Smart and Sharp trims.

The new Astor Savvy trim is around 60,000 to 90,000 expensive over the Sharp trim, depending on the engine option. These new variants come with all the features that are accessible in the Sharp trim. Adding to it, the new Savvy trim comes with the range of autonomous driver assistance features like adaptive cruise control, lane keeping/departure assist, blind spot detection, automatic emergency braking, rear cross traffic alert, forward collision warning, intelligent headlamp control and others.
The MG Astor Savvy comes equipped with safety features such as six airbags, ABS with EBD, a 360 degree camera, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), Traction Control, and Hill Descent Control. The SUV also gets segment-leading features such as electronic parking brake with auto-hold, tyre pressure monitoring system, 360 degree around view camera, front fog lamp with cornering assist, rear fog lamp, heated ORVM, etc.
The SUV features a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a Jio e-SIM for connected car features, and a digital key that owner can install on the phone. It gets a 7-inch digital instrument console, a USB plug-in near the rear view mirror, a personal AI assistant, automatic AC, multi-functional steering wheel, etc.
The new MG Astor mid-sized SUV is offered with two petrol engine options – a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated and a 1.3-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged. While the former is good for 110bhp and 144Nm of torque, the turbocharged petrol engine produces 140bhp of power and 220Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual, an 8-speed CVT with 1.5L petrol and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic with 1.3L turbo petrol.
