Mercedes-Benz India Delivers 51 Cars in Kolkata in One Day

Mercedes Festive Season Record Sales

Major sales contribution comes from the Mercedes C-Class, E-Class and CLA.

Mercedes-Benz India has registered a record sales of 51 cars on the very first day of the festive season (Navratri) in Kolkata. It’s the highest ever deliveries made by any luxury carmaker in India in a single day. The company has delivered cars across Kolkata and its neighbour district markets such as Siliguri, Malda and Asansol. Kolkata customers preferred Mercedes sedans, followed by SUVs.

Major sales contribution comes from the Mercedes C-Class, E-Class and CLA. Interestingly, Mercedes’ customer profile mix includes mostly of businessmen in the age group of 35 to 45 years.

The German carmaker recorded 18% sales growth for the second quarter of 2017. The company sold 3,521 units from April to June 2017 against the 2,975 units of the same duration last year. In the first quarter of the year (January to March, 2017), Mercedes-Benz registered a total sales of 3,650 units. The first six months sales of the carmaker stood at 7,171 units accounting sales growth of 40%.
