Mercedes-Benz India Launches ‘Sport Edition’ of A-Class, CLA and GLA

In order to extend its support for the German football team in the UEFA Euro 2016, Mercedes-Benz introduced ‘Sport Edition’ of the A-Class, CLA and GLA for young Indian football enthusiasts.

To celebrate the spirit of the UEFA Euro Championship 2016, Mercedes-Benz India has launched the ‘Sport Edition’ of its three popular cars – A-Class, CLA and GLA. The company says that these Sport Editions will appeal the young and young-at-heart football enthusiasts in India. Since these are just special editions, only limited units of the cars will be sold until July 10, 2016. While the A-Class edition is limited to only 54 units (complementing the 54 teams participating in the event), the CLA and GLA are restricted to 108 units.

With an aim to expand the campaign’s physical visibility, Mercedes-Benz will setup unique and attractive football kits in its 26 showrooms across the country. The company will create an innovative setup that will include a goal, artificial turf, cut outs of football players and a backdrop of fans cheering for the German national football team. The basic motto of the carmaker is to establish a stronger connect with its target audience during the UEFA EURO 2016 season.

All three ‘Sport Edition’ receive special body-graphics such as stainless steel sport pedals, ‘Sport Edition’ badge, carbon fibre mirror cover, black hub caps and valve cap. The Mercedes-Benz A-Class ‘Sport Edition’, additionally, gets front apron spoiler lip and trim front with diamond grille in black, diffuser-look rear apron trim and roof spoiler. On the other hand, the Mercedes-Benz GLA and CLA ‘Sport Edition’ feature AMG front and side skirt, pronounced and bold shoulders and AMG rear bumper.
