German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has launched the ML63 AMG SUV in the Indian car market. The company has also inaugurated its first AMG performance centre in India. This sports utility vehicle is basically a high performance variant of the Mercedes-Benz ML-Class. The new Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG is priced at Rs. 1.49 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The ML63 AMG is the performance model which resembles the standard SUV but it comes with AMG body kit which makes it look sporty and bigger. The front fascia of the SUV features a standard grille with three-pointed star logo which is complimented by projector headlamps. It also gets LED daytime running lights and LED fog lamps. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to 20-inch AMG-spec wheels. The rear profile of the Mercedes ML63 AMG gets wrap-around LED tail lamps, quad chrome finish exhaust pipes, a rear spoiler and others.
The interiors of the ML63 AMG looks identical to the standard ML-Class but it gets some AMG modifications. It comes equipped with climate control with multi-zone temperature control, infotainment system, leather seats with memory function and others. The infotainment system including DVD player is placed in the front row, wireless communication for Bluetooth-enabled devices and others.
For passengers’ safety and security, this model is equipped with front and rear side airbags along with knee airbag for the driver, ABS with EBD and brake assist, and many more. Under the hood, the Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG gets the AMG spec 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that is capable of developing a top power output of 532PS and a peak torque of 700Nm. This engine is coupled to a 7G-Tronic AMG Speedshift transmission which channeled the power to all four wheels. The vehicle sprints to 0-100kmph in just 4.8 seconds and attains a top speed of 250kmph which is around 30kmph more than the standard model.
