Mercedes-Benz has rolled out a new special edition of the CLA sedan in the Indian market. Called the Mercedes-Benz CLA Urban Sport, the limited edition is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. While CLA 200 petrol version has been priced at Rs 35.99 lakh, the CLA 200 d diesel model costs Rs 36.99 lakh (all, ex-showroom Pan India). The Mercedes-Benz CLA Urban Sport receives minor cosmetic updates along with a pack of new features over the regular model. Painted in new Cosmos Black shade, the sedan’s special edition gets sporty black treatment on the front grille, airdam and rear spoiler carbon style.
Inside, the Mercedes-Benz CLA Urban Sport features a new Thermotronic automatic climate control with two climate zones for driver and front passenger, rear centre vents, individual controls for airflow, temperature and air distribution. Power for the Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 Urban Sport petrol model comes from a 2.0-litre petrol engine that pushes out 184bhp of power against 300Nm of peak torque. The diesel model, on the other hand, is propelled by a 2.2-litre motor producing 136bhp and 300Nm of peak torque. Both the powertrains are paired to a 7-speed automatic gearbox.
