India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the much awaited Ciaz mid-sized sedan in the country. It will replace the not-so successful SX4 in the country. Maruti Suzuki is currently ruling the entry level segment of the country; however, the company is now aiming to conquer the bigger car segment including mid-sized and SUV segment. At the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, the company unveiled the Maruti Ciaz sedan which has received a positive response from visitors as well as experts. If media reports to believe, the Maruti has already stopped the production of the SX4 sedan and has started making the trial production of the Ciaz mid-sized sedan at its Manesar manufacturing unit.
At the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, Suzuki unveiled the Alivio sedan which is a near production version of the Ciaz. The vehicle has already been spotted several times during its test rounds.
Expected Launch Date- July-August, 2014
Expected Price- Rs. 7-11 lakh.
