Mercedes-AMG has added two new powerful cars – CLA 45 and GLA 45 – to its Indian portfolio. While the Mercedes AMG CLA 45 has been priced at Rs 75.20 lakh, the Mercedes AMG GLA 45 comes with a price tag of Rs 77.85 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes them the most affordable AMG models in the country. The company also introduced the Aero Editions of the CLA45 and GLA45, which are priced at Rs 77.69 lakh and Rs 80.67 lakh respectively. These two performance cars are the sixth and seventh products to be launched by the German carmaker in India this year.
The Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 and the GLA 45 shares the 2.-litre, four-cylinder, in-line 4 engine paired to an AMG Speedshift DCT 7-Speed sports gearbox. This turbocharged motor generates a peak power of 375bhp and 475Nm of torque. Power is delivered to all four wheels via Mercedes’ AMG Performance 4MATIC drivetrain system. On the exterior, the Mercedes AMG CLA 45 and AMG GLA 45 feature a new black finish with yellow highlights. Both the cars get a matte black racing stripe running along the bonnet, roof and boot. Other design highlights include black grille with AMG badging on the slat, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, sporty front bumper with wide central airdam and large air intakes, decals on the doors, blacked-out alloy wheels, LED tail lamps and a yellow strip running on the bumpers, ORVMs and side profile of the cars. Interior has typical AMG styling elements such as sporty all-black theme with red contract stitching and lines along the dashboard, leather seats and side panels. The Mercedes AMG CLA 45 and AMG GLA 45 get a new 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen system with smartphone connectivity options including Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink. The cars also get a 360 degree camera and a multi functional steering wheel with black leather wrap and red stitching.
