Launched: Mercedes AMG C43 Priced at Rs 74.35 Lakh

Positioned below the Mercedes-AMG C63, the Mercedes AMG C43 is the only compact luxury sedan in India.

With the launch of the Mercedes AMG C43 4 Matic, Mercedes-Benz India has further expanded its Indian portfolio. Priced at Rs 74.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the C43 AMG version is the 13th product from the German carmaker this year. Positioned below the Mercedes-AMG C63, the Mercedes AMG C43 is the only compact luxury sedan in India. Though, it will compete against the S5 Sportback and the upcoming Volvo S60 Polestar.

Powering the Mercedes-AMG C43 is a twin turbo 3.0-litre V6 engine making 357bhp of peak power and 520Nm of torque. This power mill is combined with the tried and tested 9G-TRONIC automatic gearbox, and all-wheel drivetrain system. This makes it the closest rival of Audi S4. The performance-oriented C43 can do 0-100kmph sprint in 4.7 seconds. The top speed is said to be 250kmph.

What makes the Mercedes AMG C43 a thrilling machine is performance exhaust with a loud note that resemblance the GLE450 and the SLC43. There is a sports suspension system – AMG ride control – equipped with AMG developed springs and a 3 stage variable damper. From inside, the Mercedes AMG C43 looks sportier than the regular model. It comes with an optional red accents on the door panels and aluminium accents on the dashboard. The instrument cluster has sporty “chequered flag” design in typical AMG style.

The Mercedes AMG C43 carries a more aggressive stance than the regular one, while the flamboyant styling remains intact. The car gets larger air intakes, bigger AMG wheels, rear bumper with quad exhaust setup and an inbuilt diffuser and a subtle lip spoiler on the bootlid.
