Maruti Suzuki has released the TVC video of its upcoming S-Presso mini SUV. Featuring the Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, the video shows the aggressive front fascia, squarish taillamps and bold tall-boy stance of the vehicle.

Slated to launch on 30th September, the Maruti S-Presso is the production version of the Future S concept that was showcased at the last year’s Auto Expo. Similar to the company’s new breed cars, the Maruti S-Presso is built on the Heartect platform that makes it the carmaker’s lightest car. It has a kerb weight of just 726kgs.

The mini SUV gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that’s compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link. Though, it has been reserved for the top-spec variants. Read – 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza Testing Begins

The top-spec trim of the mini SUV comes with all-black interior with colour-coded orange bits. The upright dashboard has centrally-mounted digital speedometer and tachometer. The steering wheel with mounted audio and telephony controls looks similar to the WagonR.

The list of features also includes a 12V socket, front power windows, manually adjustable wing mirrors, a manual HVAC, USB and Aux inputs.

For safety provision, the Maruti S-Presso offers driver’s airbag, ABS (anti-lock braking system) with EBD (electronic brake-force distribution), rear parking sensors and speed alert system as standard fitments. Maruti S Presso Boot Space

The new mini SUV from the Indo-Japanese carmaker will be made available with a petrol engine only. It will be the company’s first car to get BS6-ready 1.0L K10B petrol engine developing a maximum power of 68bhp against 90Nm of torque. The Maruti S-Presso will come with two transmission options – a 5-speed manual and an optional AMT.
