Maruti Suzuki has finally launched the much-awaited new XL6 – the Ertiga-based crossover in the country. Priced between Rs 9.79 lakh and Rs 11.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new premium MPV will be sold exclusively through the NEXA premium sales and service network. The new Maruti Suzuki XL6 premium MPV will be offered in petrol version only. It is powered by a 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology, which is capable of producing 104bhp of power and 138Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic.

The Maruti XL6 petrol manual is claimed to return an ARAI certified fuel economy of 19.01kmpl, while the petrol AT delivers 17.99kmpl. It comes with a boot space of 209-litres with all seats in position. The boot space can be further increased to 550-litres and 692-litres by folding the second and third row of seats. The new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga XL6 is available in 2 trims – Zeta and Alfa – and in total of 4 variants.

The Maruti XL6 Zeta variant is available in both manual and automatic gearbox options. Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, rear parking sensors, central locking, ISOFIX child seat mounts for second row comes as standard, while electronic stability program and hill-start assist is available with automatic version. Feature list includes rear defogger and wash/wipe, LED fog lamps, headlamps, tail-lights and daytime running lights, skid plates, ORVMs with integrated blinkers, height adjustable driver’s seat, automatic climate control, tilt-adjustable steering, Day/Night IRVM, etc. Also See – Maruti XL6 Vs Ertiga – What’s the difference?

This variant also gets captain seats for the second row with a sliding and recline function. It rides on 15-inch alloy wheels wrapped with 185/65 R15 tyres. The Crossover-MPV gets 50:50 split/folding third row of seats with a slide function and adjustable headrests for all 3 rows. Some of the comfort and convenience features include armrest for front and rear occupants, cruise control, keyless entry and push-button start, power socket in all 3 rows and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with voice command and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, and a multi-functional steering wheel. The top-spec Maruti XL6 Alpha variant has all the features that are accessible in the Zeta variant. In addition, this variant gets rear parking camera, leather seats and leather wrapped steering wheel, and automatic headlamps with a follow-me-home function.
