Maruti XL6 Premium MPV is bigger than Ertiga – New Details Emerge

Maruti Suzuki will launch the much-anticipated Ertiga-based XL6 premium MPV on August 21, 2019. The new model will be a six-seater MPV with bold design changes and upgraded cabin. It will be sold exclusively via Maruti Suzuki’s NEXA premium sales and service network. Ahead of the official launch, the dimensions of the XL6 6-seater MPV have been leaked on the internet.

Going by the available information, the upcoming Maruti XL6 MPV is larger than the regular Ertiga MPV. However, the wheelbase remains the same as both shares the same platform. In terms of proportions, the NEXA XL6 is 4,445mm in length, 1,775mm in width and 1,700mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,740mm. It is 50mm longer, 40mm wider and 10mm taller. Dimensionally, the regular Ertiga is 4,395mm long, 1,735mm wide and 1,690mm tall. Both models come with a turning radius of 5.2 meters.

Maruti Suzuki has officially revealed the design sketches and interior pictures of XL6. The vehicle receives significant design changes and rides higher than the regular model. It gets new headlamps, re-styled bonnet, a larger honeycomb grille with a bigger chrome bar, LED daytime running lights, new bumper with wider air-intakes, plastic cladding and skid plate. The interior of the Maruti XL6 is identical to the regular Ertiga, but it gets brushed aluminium finish along with piano black inserts on the dashboard. It will also get Suzuki’s new SmartPlay Studio Infotainment system, individual captain seats with armrest for the second row, leather upholstery and all-black interior scheme. Powering the new Maruti XL6 is a BSVI compliant 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine with SHVS mild hybrid system. This engine produces 103bhp of power and 138Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque convertor automatic.
