Maruti Suzuki is all set to introduce a new 1.5-litre diesel engine in the Indian market. The new engine will power the Ciaz, Ertiga, S-Cross and Vitara Brezza. It will also power the S-Cross, which will also receive the new 1.5-litre diesel engine. The 1.5L engine churns out 103bhp of power and 138Nm of torque.
We believe that Maruti Vitara Brezza could receive the 1.0-litre Boosterjet petrol engine that currently powers the Baleno RS. This engine is capable of producing 100.5bhp of power and 150Nm of torque. By opting for the Boosterjet engine, Maruti could achieve a better fuel efficiency along with aggressive pricing.
