Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the Swift and Swift Dzire facelifts in the country. The Swift facelift has been spotted again during its test rounds. The updated model is likely to get changes to both exteriors and interiors, and is likely to go on sale by the end of this year.

The Maruti Suzuki Swift facelift features a newly formulated L-shaped LED daytime running lights, slightly tweaked grille and larger fog lamp enclosures. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to restyled alloy wheels. However, the new model largely resembles the current model.

Inside the cabin, the Maruti Suzuki Swift facelift is expected to get electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors, push button start and stop, keyless entry and new upholstery for seats. The top-of-the line variant is likely to get dual SRS airbags, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic BrakeForce Distribution), and other safety and security features. Adding to it, the vehicle could also feature an advanced 2-DIN music system and climate control.

Under the bonnet, the Swift facelift would continue to feature the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engine that also powers the Swift Dzire compact sedan. A more powerful, Swift S variant is also expected to go on sale to compete against the likes of Polo GT TSI and Fiat Punto Sport. Moreover, an automatic variant of the Swift is also on cards.
