2. Ford Figo
Launched in 2015, the new-generation Figo could not replicate success witnessed by its predecessor, albeit it is a better equipped product and an overall great package. In a bit to keep it abreast of the competition, Ford incorporated multiple new elements in the hatchback. A radically changed exterior, spacious cabin and a bunch of new tech make the Figo a good bet in the B segment. The hatchback gets an all-black interior with three-spoke steering wheel with silver accents, a 4.2-inch SYNC multimedia infotainment system with voice control and steering mounted controls.
Features such as optional side & curtain airbags (total 6 airbags – first-in-class), height adjustable front seats, ESP (electronic stability control), HLA (hill launch assist) and TCS (traction control system) etc give it an extra edge over the Swift. The Figo carline comes with three engine options – a 88bhp, 1.2-litre petrol, a 110.4bhp, 1.5-litre petrol and a 99bhp, 1.5-litre diesel engine with a standard manual transmission and an optional auto box. All powertrains of the Figo are more powerful than the new Swift.
