Maruti Suzuki is gearing up for the launch of much-awaited YRA Premium hatchback in the country. The vehicle has been caught on camera several times, giving various details about the car. Taking cues from various spy shots, alvonate.it has revealed a highly convincing rendering of the upcoming YRA premium hatchback.
The Suzuki YRA premium hatchback will be positioned above the top-selling Swift hatchback. The upcoming model will rival against the likes of Hyundai Elite i20, Volkswagen Polo and soon-to-be launched Honda Jazz. The YRA is a global model, and is rumoured to be sold with Baleno badge; however, nothing concrete on the same have been revealed by the maker. It is expected to make its public premiere at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, while the Indian launch is expected by festive season.
The YRA Premium hatchback will aim to buyers looking for spacious cabin and large boot space. It is expected to share its interior components with the Ciaz sedan. The hatchback will be made available in both petrol and diesel fuel options. While the petrol motor is the 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged unit, the oil burner is the tried & tested 1.3-litre Multi-Jet unit. Both engines will be paired to a five-speed manual gearbox, while the petrol version will also get an automatic transmission option.
