Maruti Suzuki XL6

We have reported earlier that Maruti Suzuki will launch a new car on August 21, 2019. The carmaker, however, remains tight lipped about the name and details of the product. While official launch of the vehicle is a month away, its first spy picture has surfaced online. The Indo-Japanese carmaker will bring a new Maruti Suzuki XL6 people mover that will be sold via Nexa dealerships.

Based on the new Ertiga, the Maruti Suzuki XL6 will have a six-seats layout and receive several cosmetic and feature upgrades over the MPV’s regular model. Upfront, the vehicle will feature a larger grille and LED headlamps with sportier bumper. Compared to the Ertiga, its ride height will be slightly higher.  What will add more to its sporty looks will be plastic cladding on the side profile and rear bumper with a faux skid plate. The Maruti Suzuki XL6 will source its power from the new 1.5L petrol engine that also does duty in the Ertiga. It will receive BS6-ready version of the gasoline motor. Rumour also has it that the new 6-seater from Maruti Suzuki will not be offered with diesel powertrain. Initially, it will be made available with a 5-speed manual gearbox only. At a later stage, the XL6 could get a 4-speed torque convertor automatic transmission.
