Maruti Suzuki XL6 Launched In India; Priced From Rs 9.79 Lakh

Maruti Suzuki XL6, the 6-seater MPV from the Indo-Japanese carmaker, has finally arrived in the Indian market. In the company’s product lineup, the XL6 has been positioned above the S-Cross and it will be sold via Nexa dealership. The new premium 6-seater MPV comes in four variants – Zeta and Alpha – priced from Rs 9.79 lakh and Rs 11.46 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. It’s based on the second-generation Ertiga that has been built on the Heartect platform.

Dimensions of the Maruti XL6 are bigger than the regular Ertiga. The former measures 4445mm in length, 1775mm in width and 1700mm in height. The wheelbase, however, remains unchanged (2740mm). It offers a cargo volume of 209-litres. For power, the Maruti XL6 uses a 1.5L VVT petrol engine with SHVS technology, borrowed from the Ertiga. It delivers a maximum power of 103.5bhp and 138Nm of torque. Maruti XL6 Interior

Visually, the Maruti Suzuki XL6 looks more like the regular Ertiga. Though, it carries crossover-ish stance and design bits such as quad LED headlamps with LED DLRs, a trapezoidal grille, revised bumpers, new fog lamps, sculpted hood with faux skid plates, a larger central airdam, roof rails, silver side skirts, black cladding on wheel arches and LED taillamps with new piano black inserts. Interior has also been revised with features such as all-black interior with stone finish and silver accents, new brushed aluminum finish on the dashboard with piano black inserts, leather seats, leather wrapped flat bottom steering and a 7.0-inch SmartPlay Studio infotainment system with smartphone connectivity. The Maruti XL6 offers captain seats for the middle row passengers and two-seater bench for the third row occupants. The safety kit includes dual airbags, ABS with EBD, cruise control, seat belt reminder, high speed warning alert, reverse parking camera and more.
