Maruti Suzuki XL6 Gets 2000 Bookings So Far

Maruti Suzuki XL6 premium MPV has finally gone on sale in India. The 6-seater MPV has been made available with a BS6-ready 1.5L petrol SHVS engine along with a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic transmission options. While the Zeta manual variant has been priced at Rs 9.79 lakh, the Zeta automatic costs Rs 10.89 lakh. The fully-loaded Alpha manual and automatic models are available at Rs 10.36 lakh and Rs 11.46 lakh respectively. All prices are ex-showroom, India.

The Indo-Japanese carmaker has also announced that the Maruti XL6 has received 2000 bookings so far. Official bookings were commenced from 9th August at a token amount of Rs 11,000. The carmaker revealed that it has spent Rs 100 crore for development of the 6-seater MPV. Its diesel version will be introduced; if there will be demand from customers. Maruti XL6 Features

It’s a well know fact that Maruti Suzuki XL6 is based on the Ertiga MPV featuring the company’s global design language. Styling bits that differentiate it from the Ertiga are new grille with bold cross-bar design element, signature quad LED headlamps, LED DRLs, distant hood, all black alloys, side claddings, roof rails and taillamps with LED light guide. The all-black interior with stone finish and silver accents looks quite sporty. The Maruti XL6 also gets a wide instrument panel, 17.8cm SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, leather wrapped flat bottom steering wheel with mounted controls, leather upholstery, rear AC bents, ventilated cup holders and overhead console.

The Maruti XL6 comes with 3-row seating arrangement with captain seats in 2nd row and reclining 3rd row seats. For safety provision, the premium MPV offers dual front airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, reverse parking sensors, high speed warning alert, front seat belts with pre-tensioners and force limiters and ABS with EBS along with ESP and hill hold function.
