Ever since its launch at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, the Maruti Vitara Brezza has been leading the segment. In fact, it has been the top-selling SUV in the country. In October 2018, the Vitara Brezza recorded its highest ever monthly sales of 15,082 units and the lowest of 5,302 units in July 2019. The Maruti Vitara Brezza is truly a ground-breaking product from the Indo-Japanese carmaker that has also helped it achieve 25.46% share of the UV market.

The carmaker will soon introduce the updated version of the Maruti Vitara Brezza. The new model might debut at the 2020 Delhi Auto Expo, followed by its launch. The facelifted model is likely to receive a BS6-compliant 1.5L K15B petrol engine that debuted in the Ciaz last year. The gasoline unit with SHVS mild hybrid technology pushes out a peak power of 105bhp with 138Nm of torque.

Initially, the Maruti Vitara Brezza petrol will be offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The subcompact SUV will receive a 4-speed torque converter transmission at a later stage. The company will also discontinue the existing 1.3L diesel motor once the BS6 norms kick in from April 1, 2020. It could be replaced with the new BS6-ready 1.5L diesel engine.
