Maruti Suzuki To Launch Updated Ertiga and XL6 In Early 2022

Maruti Suzuki is preparing a wide range of new cars including new Brezza, a compact SUV Coupe, a new mid-sized SUV and a 7-seater SUV. Adding to it, the company will also give a mid-life facelift to its existing models including the Baleno, Ertiga and the XL6. These updated models have already been spotted testing multiple times and are expected to be launched in Q1, 2022.

Maruti Ertiga Facelift

Spy images reveal that the popular 7-seater MPV will receive minimal changes. The major changes to the exterior will be made to the grille, which is likely to have some resemblance to the Baleno facelift. The rest of the design will remain largely unchanged. Similar to the exterior, the cabin is not likely to receive any significant update. The vehicle could get new colour interior scheme, new upholstery, and added features.

The Ertiga facelift will continue to be offered with the same 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine with mild-hybrid tech. This engine churns out 104bhp of power and 138Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque convertor automatic.

Maruti Suzuki will also update the NEXA only XL6 6-seater MPV. If reports are to be believed, the company is also planning to launch the 7-seater derivative of the Crossover-MPV. Unlike Ertiga, the Suzuki XL6 will receive major changes to its styling. The spy images reveal that the new model will get a newly designed grille and alloy wheels.

The cabin is likely to receive new seat upholstery along with a bunch of new features. The top-spec model will continue to offer leather seats, rear parking camera and automatic headlamps with a follow-me-home-function. It could also receive a new touchscreen infotainment system, which will also be offered on the Baleno facelift. Under the hood, the new 2022 Maruti XL6 facelift will continue to house the same 1.5L petrol engine with mild hybrid technology.
