Maruti Suzuki will launch the much-awaited SX4 S-Cross crossover in January, 2015. The vehicle has been spotted several times during test rounds on Indian roads. Fresh spyshots of the crossover reveals the interiors and rear passenger seat. The spotted model was the diesel version, which is identified by the tachometer.
The interiors of the crossover are blessed with an all-black shade; however, we believe that the company would introduce the dual-black beige theme which suits Indian taste more. The spotted vehicle seems to be a mid-level variant, which sports one driver side airbag. It misses out on features like automatic climate control and push start/stop button.
The rear passengers’ seats of the crossover have adjustable headrests, but it lacks center armrest. Silver inserts on the doors are visible. Its wheel arches have been fitted to new 16-inch alloy wheels which are covered by the JK Tyres. We expect that the same alloy wheels and tyres could be offered on the production spec model. All disc brakes are expected to be offered as standard.
If media reports are to be believed, the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross could be offered in diesel version only. The oil burners are expected to be the 1.6-litre Multi-Jet diesel and 1.3-litre MJD diesel unit. A six-speed manual transmission would be offered with more powerful engine, while the tried & tested 1.3L unit will be paired to a five-speed gearbox.
