Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Achieves 1 Lakh Sales Milestone In India

New Maruti S Cross Revealed

The Maruti S-Cross is currently available in the price range of Rs 8.85 lakh – 11.45 lakh (ex-showroom).

Maruti Suzuki has announced that the S-Cross crossover has breached the 1 lakh cumulative sales mark in the Indian market. The crossover was first introduced in 2015, followed by a facelift in October 2017 and feature upgrades in September, 2018. The carmaker offered the rear parking sensors, speed alert system and passenger seat belt reminder as standard across all its variants.

Commenting on the sales milestone, R S Kalsi, Senior Executive Director, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki said, “We are thankful to our customers for their love and positive response. Currently, the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is available in a single 1.3L DDiS diesel engine boosted with SHVS mild hybrid technology. The oil burner delivers a maximum power output of 90bhp and 200Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard across the range. The crossover lineup is spread across four trims – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha – priced at Rs 8.85 lakh, Rs 9.97 lakh, Rs 10.45 lakh and Rs 11.45 lakh respectively. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

Reports in media suggest that the Indo-Japanese carmaker will soon introduce its new 1.5L, 4-cylinder petrol engine that debuted at the new Ciaz facelift. The same powertrain will also be used in the new-generation Ertiga MPV. This gasoline unit makes power worth 104bhp against 138Nm of torque.
