Maruti Suzuki Ertiga 6-Seater Launch Date Revealed
Visually, the Maruti Ertiga 6-seater will be slightly different than the regular model.
We have reported earlier that Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch a new vehicle in August, 2019. While the carmaker remains tight-lipped about its upcoming vehicle, a latest media report claims that it will be 6-seater version of the Ertiga MPV. The model is reported to go on sale on 21st August. Based on the Ertiga’s new-generation model, the 6-seater model will be retailed via Nexa dealerships.
Design and styling of the Maruti Ertiga 6-seater will be slightly different than the regular model. It will feature a taller chromed grille merging with Ciaz-inspired headlamps and bumper. The additional body cladding around the body and slightly higher driving position will further enhance its sporty appearance.
The Maruti Ertiga 6-seater will have a 2+2+2 seating layout with two captain seats for the middle row and a bench seat for the third row. The new model might feature an all-black interior theme along with Maruti’s new SmartPlay Studio infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Powering the Maruti Ertiga 6-seater will be a new, BS6-compliant 1.5L petrol engine with SHVS mild hybrid technology. Its power and torque outputs will stand at 104bhp and 138Nm respectively. Initially, the 6-seater MPV will be made available with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The carmaker might introduce a 4-speed torque-convertor automatic transmission at a later stage.
