Maruti Suzuki Alto added another star to its achievements profile by crossing the 30 lakh sales mark in Indian automobile market. A consistent performer, it has ruled the sales figures for almost a decade in the passenger vehicle segment. The historic figure was achieved by this legendary car in a period of fifteen years and six months. In terms of trade as well as performance, it takes after its legendary sibling Maruti 800. It has been a customer’s favorite right from the day of its launch.

Maruti Alto Sales Journey – From Zero to Over 30 Lakh
As the Executive Director of the company, Mr. R S Kalsi, puts it, “Alto has constantly evolved to reflect the changing India. While Alto’s true essence lies in its remarkable fuel efficiency, performance, attractive price, and low maintenance, it has a zippy and sporty design that appeals to its customers.” Maruti Suzuki has blessed this wonder car with all higher segment features like auto gear shift and airbags which bring it at par with best of the vehicles in higher segments. These are some of the smart moves that helped its maker in boosting its demand in the market.

As per the company, they have exported more than 3.8 lakh units of Alto in more than 70 countries including UK, Netherlands, Chile, Algeria, and Sri Lanka. MSIL takes special pride in letting people know about the hard efforts it made in keeping the car upgraded with changing tastes and preferences of customers. At present, Alto is being offered with two engine options – a K10 and a 800cc engine. These are accompanied by a CNG based version.
