Maruti S-Presso To Come In 6 Manual, 3 AMT Variants

All-new Maruti Suzuki S-Presso mini SUV is ready to hit showrooms on September 30, 2019. Prior to its official launch, the engine and variant details of the vehicle have leaked online. According to the leaked approval certificate, the Maruti S-Presso will come 9 variants spread across four trims – Std, LXi, Vxi and VXi+. The lineup will include 6 manual variants and 3 AGS (Auto Gear Shift) models.

The leaked scan also confirms that the Maruti S-Presso derives its power from a BS6-compliant 1.0L petrol engine churning out a maximum power of 68PS at 5500rpm and 90Nm of torque. The overall length, width and height of the mini SUV stand at 3665mm, 1520mm and 1549mm (for 13-inch wheel variants)/1564mm (for 14-inch wheel variants) respectively. Built on the Heartect platform, the Maruti S-Presso will be the lightest and smallest vehicle from the Indo-Japanese carmaker based on the Heartect platform. Equipped with all the mandatory safety features, the S-Presso will meet the latest Bharat NCAP standards. It gets dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, speed alert system and seat belt reminder right from the entry-level Std trim. The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso will be one of the most affordable cars from the Indo-Japanese carmaker in India. It will sit above the Alto and below the WagonR. The vehicle’s prices are likely to fall in the range of Rs 3 – Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom).
