Maruti S-Presso CNG Variant, Specs, Launch Details Revealed
Launched in September 2019, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso has been doing really well for the carmaker in the country. Now, the company will further expand the compact car lineup with the new CNG variant. The Maruti S-Presso CNG is likely to be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020 that will begin next week. The carmaker might also announce its prices at the event.
The Maruti S-Presso CNG will be offered in four trims – LXi, LXi (O), VXi and VXi (O) – packed with the BS6-compliant K10B 1.0L, 3-cylinder petrol engine with CNG kit. The bi-fuel variant will promise a maximum power of 59.14PS at 5,500rpm in CNG mode and 67.98PS in petrol mode. For performing transmission duties, the compact car will have a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The entry-level LXi trim comes equipped with side body cladding, power steering, sunvisor, digital driver information display, AC unit, driver-side airbag, ABS with EBD, front seatbelt reminder, reverse parking sensors and speed alert system. Read – Maruti Suzuki Cars Gets Expensive by up to 4.7%
The VXi variant offers some additional features such as body-coloured bumpers, roof antenna, full wheel covers, headlamp on warning, gearshift indicator, distance-to-empty and fuel consumption display on the instrument cluster, two-speaker audio system with Bluetooth, USB & Aux, remote keyless entry, SmartPlay Dock, central door locking, speed-sensitive door lock and accessory socket.
Features such as front seatbelt pre-tensioner and force limiter and passenger-side airbag are exclusively offered on the LXi (O) and VXi (O) trims. Design and dimensions of the Maruti S-Presso CNG will be exactly similar to the regular petrol model.
At the Auto Expo 2020, the Indo-Japanese carmaker will unveil the all-new Maruti Futuro-e SUV Coupe concept along with the new Maruti Vitara Brezza facelift, Ignis facelift and Swift Hybrid. The existing Maruti Suzuki model lineup will also be put up on display at the event.
