Maruti Jimny 5-door SUV is surely one of the much-awaited new car launches of this year. The model that made its first public appearance at the 2023 Auto Expo, is likely to hit roads in the next 2-3 months. Its pre-bookings have been commenced at a token sum of Rs 11,000. The new Maruti off-road SUV is already high-in demand and proof of this lies in the fact that the model gathered over 3,000 bookings in just 2 days. The model lineup will be made available in two trims – Zeta and Alpha.
Features such as a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system with Arkamys Surround Sense and the latest smartphone connectivity, leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic climate control, push start/stop, electrically adjustable and retractable glass, LED auto headlamps with washer, fog lamps, body-coloured ORMVs, alloy wheels and Dark green glass are exclusively offered on the top-end Alpha trim.
The standard feature kit includes a 7-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a MID (TFT colour display), steering mounted control, front and rear welded tow hooks, front and rear seat adjustable headrest, scratch-resistant and stain removable IP finish, driver side power window auto up/down with pinch guard, near flat reclinable front seats, day/night IRVM, back door defogger, electrically adjustable ORVMs, drip rails, steel wheels, front and rear wipers with washer, hardtop and gunmetal grey grille with chrome plating. For power, the new Maruti Jimny 5-door SUV uses a 1.5L K15C Dualjet petrol engine that can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The gasoline motor produces a peak power of 102bhp at 6,000rpm and 137Nm of torque at 4,400rpm. The SUV gets Suzuki’s AllGrip AWD (all-wheel drive) system as standard fitment.
