The Maruti Ignis facelift will be powered by the BSVI compliant K12M 1.2-litre petrol engine.

Maruti Suzuki had introduced the 2019 Ignis facelift earlier this year in February. The updated model was equipped with new safety features as standard. With these safety upgrades, the Ignis is now compliant with the upcoming safety norms. According to Gaadiwaadi, Maruti Suzuki will soon give another makeover to the Ignis tall-boy hatchback.

With the new facelift, Maruti Suzuki is aiming to boost the sales of the Ignis hatchback. The company is currently selling over 3000 units of the hatchback every month. The report claims that the new Ignis will receive a refreshed front fascia. It will receive a Vitara Brezza-inspired front grille with U-shaped ring design. There will be a silver skid plate to enhance the ruggedness. Adding to it, the Ignis facelift will receive minor tweaks to the side and rear profile.

The Maruti Ignis facelift will be powered by the BSVI compliant K12M 1.2-litre petrol engine. This naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine is capable of producing 82bhp of power at 6,000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 4,200rpm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automated manual gearbox. In the current form, this engine is claimed to return 20.89kmpl. Also See – Upcoming Maruti Cars
