A dealer from Chennai said that the Ignis diesel variant costs around Rs 8 lakh (top-spec), which is quite high for a small diesel vehicle. Therefore, most of the buyers are opting for the petrol models that have more features to offer at relatively low price than their counterpart diesel variants.
