The much-awaited Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV will go on sale in India on 26th September, 2022. Ahead of its official arrival, the model has gathered over 55,000 bookings and its strong hybrid variants are high in-demand. It will come in 6 trims, namely, Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Zeta+, Alpha and Alpha+.
The carmaker will offer the new Maruti Grand Vitara in 3 dual-tone and 6 monotone colour options. The single paint schemes include Opulent Red, Splendid Silver, Grandeur Grey, Arctic White, Chestnut Brown and Nexa Blue. The dual-tone shades are Arctic White with Black roof, Splendid Silver with Black roof and Opulent Red with Black roof.
Buyers can get the new Maruti Grand Vitara with two hybrid powertrains – 1.5L K15C mild hybrid and 1.5L TNGA Atkinson Cycle. While the former makes 103bhp with 137Nm, the latter returns power worth 115bhp. The mild hybrid variants will be available with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The carmaker has already confirmed that the Grand Vitara mild hybrid manual and automatic 2WD promise fuel efficiency of 21.11kmpl and 20.58kmpl respectively. The strong hybrid with AllGrip AWD manual and eCVT gearbox delivers 19.38kmpl and 27.97kmpl respectively.
Features such as leatherette steering wheel, black leatherette seats, ventilated front seats, upgraded sound system, a 360 degree camera, puddle lamps and tyre pressure monitoring system are available exclusively on the top-end Alpha+ variant.
The Zeta+ trim comes equipped with a 7.0-inch fully digital instrument cluster, wireless charger, Head-up display, dashboard ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, all black interior with gold accents, dark grey front and rear skid plates, silver roof rails and dual-tone colour options.
With respect to safety, the new Maruti Grand Vitara offers multiple airbags, electronic stability program with hill hold, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, Isofix mount, 3-point seatbelts for all seats, reverse parking camera and hill descent control.
