Maruti Ertiga Sport – Crossover Looks, 6-seats, New Name and Details

The new Maruti Ertiga Sport will be sold through NEXAA dealerships.

Maruti Suzuki had launched the new-gen Ertiga MPV in India in November 2018. The new model receives positive response from buyers and doing quite well for the brand. While the new model is available through regular Maruti’s ARENA dealership network, Maruti Suzuki is planning a sportier version for the NEXA premium dealerships. The new Maruti Ertiga Sport is currently under development and is expected to arrive in the second half of 2019.

– Crossover design elements

The new Ertiga Sport will come with a sporty body kit and will be equipped with new design elements to give it a crossover-ish profile. The MPV will get new prominent grille, bigger bumper, faux skid plates, side skirts, black plastic cladding all around the body and new rear bumper. It will ride on bigger alloys. – Six-seater

– New Nameplate

Media reports claim that the new Ertiga Sport will come with a new nameplate. The new nameplate could be used to distinguish the regular model from the premium variant.

– Feature-loaded

The company will re-design the interior of the new MPV and is expected to offer a sportier feel to it. It is expected to be one of the most feature-loaded cars in its category. The Ertiga Sport is expected to receive LED headlamps, daytime running lights, new alloy wheels, leather upholstery and cruise control.

– Same Engine

The new Ertiga Cross will be available with 2 engine options – 1.5-litre petrol with mild hybrid system and the new 1.5-litre diesel engine. The new diesel engine will be capable of producing 94bhp of power and 225Nm of torque. Power will be transmitted to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox.
