Maruti Electric SUV eVX Concept Previews Hyundai Creta EV Rival

Maruti Suzuki’s showstopper for the Auto Expo 2023, the new Electric SUV concept has been unveiled. Called the Maruti eVX, the concept previews the brand’s futuristic design language and it’s also a statement of intent from Maruti to enter the electric SUV segment. The production-ready version of the EV is reported to witness a market launch in early 2025 (possibly in January or February).

The model will be co-developed with Toyota, and the Japanese automaker will retail its re-badged version in India. The new Maruti electric SUV will be manufactured at the carmaker’s Gujarat-based facility. It will be Maruti Suzuki’s first electric car to be based on the born-EV platform. The same architecture will be used in the future Maruti Suzuki electric cars.
