Maruti Ciaz new commercial to feature Ranveer Singh; Images Out

Bollywood heart-throb and young sensation Ranveer Singh will be featuring in Maruti Ciaz’s second teaser which is expected to hit the web soon. This ain’t the first time that a Bollywood celeb is endorsing an automobile brand; in fact, the association goes a long way back with Shah Rukh Khan featuring in Hyundai’s advertisements. Ranveer Singh was snapped shooting with the yet-to-be-launched Ciaz sedan on NH 17 where it touches the Arabian Sea, somewhere in and around Gujrat.

Maruti choose Ranveer due to his ever-growing popularity amidst the youth and the actor, as visible clearly in pics, was clean-shaved and appeared as sharp, well dressed young achiever. The Ciaz is all set to launch shortly in the country and hence, Maruti is leaving no stone unturned to arise curiosity in the minds of people by coming out with several unique and never-seen-before marketing and promotional ideas and activities. Recently, Twitter was bombarded with numerous tweets with the hash tag #ciazintown when it revealed a blurred image of the sedan online. Prior to that, it revealed an image of cat driving the sedan and then also Twitter witnessed immense anticipation with hash tag #coolcatsintown topping the trends.

The Ciaz premium sedan would be offered in both petrol and diesel guises with total three trims: VXi/VDi, VXi+/VDi+, and ZXi/ZDi. The petrol variants would in-house a 1.4L K-Series engine which is already doing duties to the Ertiga MPV. The diesel engine, as expected, would be Fiat’s 1.3 MJD as it is working immensely well in several other Maruti cars. Both the engines would be paired with a manual gearbox while the petrol trim would also feature an optional automatic variant. However, Maruti is not keen on offering the Ciaz sedan with an AMT unit in order to maintain its stature of a premium offering. Unarguably, it is bigger, larger and more spacious than its predecessor SX4 sedan. On the outside, it would flaunt projector headlamps, rear aircon vents, rear defogger, central locking and electrically-adjustable wing mirrors as standard features. While the top-end trims in both the guises may also feature alloy wheels, climate control, a touchscreen audio system, steering mounted controls, keyless entry, ABS and airbags.
