Maruti Ciaz Facelift Changes

India’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki will soon give a mid-life makeover to its popular mid-sized sedan – Ciaz. The 2018 Ciaz will receive several design changes and new features. Design and styling of the Ciaz facelift is likely to be inspired by the Chinese-spec 2017 Suzuki Alivio, which was unveiled at the Chengdu International Auto Show in August 2017. The sedan will directly rival the Honda City and Hyundai Verna. Here we bring you 5 big changes you can expect in the new Ciaz –

– Exterior Changes

Majority of the changes will be offered on the front fascia of the car. It will get new chrome laden single frame grille with squared shaper upper corners and new front bumper with new gloss black housing for fog lamps and chrome. At the back, the sedan gets new bumper with chrome treatment for the reflectors. The vehicle will receive new multispoke 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Read – Upcoming Maruti Suzuki Cars In India

The current Ciaz seems underpowered when compared to its direct rivals. It is expected that the sedan could be powered by in-house developed 1.5-litre diesel engine. The new engine will replace the Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre MJD unit. Power will be transmitted to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox.
