It has been a while since Maruti Suzuki India has been testing the much-awaited Ciaz sedan. Interestingly, the twitter is bombarded with #coolcatsintown hash tag along with stories claiming a cool cat is driving a car, which is next to impossible. Going by the picture, we believe that this is a marketing strategy for an upcoming sedan and is likely to be the much-anticipated Maruti Ciaz.

The production of the Suzuki Ciaz has already commenced and is scheduled to go on sale in September. It is a never-seen-before marketing strategy for a car launch and personally we liked it. Only side profile of the sedan is visible in the picture, which gives us an idea about the product. The first reaction after seeing the picture was that it is Verna sedan; however, on closer look, it was clear that the sedan is Ciaz. Its side profile features an aerodynamics creases that runs across the length of the car.

Like we mentioned, the mid-sized sedan has been spotted several times while the bookings for the car is likely to commence soon. The Suzuki Ciaz will be offered in both petrol and diesel fuel options. It will share its engine lineup with the Ertiga MPV that means a 1.4-litre K Series petrol and the tried & trusted 1.3-litre diesel. The petrol engine produces 93.6bhp and 130Nm of torque while the diesel engine develops 89bhp and a peak torque of 200Nm. The petrol version will be paired to a 5-speed manual or CVT gearbox while the diesel engine will be paired to manual gearbox only.
